Jean-Mathieu Gareau joined IIM in 2011. He has developed his expertise in Canadian equities and more specifically preferred shares, real estate investment trusts and financials sectors. In 2022, he became Director, Senior Portfolio Manager and continues to co-manage the preferred shares portfolio while assuming the responsibility of managing Canadian Small Cap and Mid Cap portfolios since 2019. Mr. Gareau holds a master’s degree in Finance from the John Molson School of Business and is a CFA charterholder.
