Meritage Global Income and Growth Portfolio realigned to better suit your clients’ needs

January 15, 2016

Effective January 15, 2016, the name of the Meritage Global Income and Growth Portfolio will change to: Meritage Global Balanced Portfolio. Other features are also being enhanced to meet your clients’ evolving needs.

Client centricity

In keeping with our client centric approach and our commitment to providing clients with access to the best investment solutions at competitive pricing, we have changed the name of the Meritage Global Income and Growth Portfolio to the Meritage Global Balanced Portfolio. We have also enhanced other features to help you meet your clients’ needs.

Reduced fees

The administration fee for the Advisor, F, F5 and T5 Series of the Portfolio is being reduced from 0.13% to 0.08%.

The 5 basis point reduction will lower the MER for the Advisor Series to 2.39% and 1.24% for the F Series.

Investment flexibility

The investment strategy of the Portfolio is also being amended to enable it to potentially invest in Exchange-Traded Funds (ETFs).

Investing in ETFs will not result in a change to the existing mix, rather, it allows the flexibility to use a wider range of potential investment vehicles.

Any change in the Portfolio composition will be made according to the same standards that you have grown accustomed to in the past.

Stable distributions

The distribution policy for the Advisor and F Series is being changed from a monthly distribution to a quarterly distribution.

By having a quarterly distribution frequency allows for greater stability in distributions. For clients needing monthly income, T5 and F5 Series are also available.
