Osman Ali is a portfolio manager in the Quantitative Investment Strategies (QIS) group within Goldman Sachs Asset Management.
He serves as the lead portfolio manager and strategist for the team's active equity strategies. Osman joined GSAM in 2003 and was named managing director in 2011 and is lead portfolio manager for the team's U.S. active equity portfolios. He has also been involved in the research and implementation of the QIS' equity investment models since 2005.
Mr. Ali graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor degree in Computer sciences before obtaining a Master's degree in Mathematics from Columbia University.
